This class will pick up from where we left off January 11th.


This class will focus on timing to help you understand and play rhythms more accurately. Listening and playing with others will be key. Some hand drum experience and a lot of patience is recommended.


Djembe drum basics and technique will NOT be covered.


Bring a djembe or rent one from the studio (add drum rental to your cart).

Build Your Drum Solo - Tammi Hessen

Each drummer's solo is unique and represents more than just that drummer's skill level.

Tammi will lead you through a process of building your own unique drum solo using a variety of West African drum phrases, djembe techniques, and placement in the music.
